Students from 9th–12th grade presented their collaborative mural, “Lighthouse: Light That Brings Us Together at Christmas,” showcasing their talent and unity.
Parents from 6th–9th grade joined their children in a hands-on workshop to create beautiful Advent wreaths, a special moment of connection and celebration.

Guided by his dedicated coach, Ms. Dayana, Mathías has demonstrated exceptional discipline, perseverance, and passion for mathematics throughout this journey.

This year, Lighthouse International School reached a new milestone with its first-ever external LIS MUN, welcoming delegates from The British School and Colegio San Luis Gonzaga.
Throughout the event, students stepped into global roles to debate some of today’s most pressing issues, from the Venezuelan refugee crisis and transnational crime, to the war in Ukraine and the international implications of the Israel–Palestine conflict. They even explored ethics and power through a creative Special Committee: The Assembly of Olympus – The Trial of Prometheus.
Our delegates demonstrated leadership, diplomacy, critical thinking, and a remarkable commitment to seeking solutions. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, teamwork, and passion for global dialogue.
LISMUN 2025 was not only academically enriching, it was truly unforgettable.

Our 3rd graders have been working on a beautiful Service Learning project with Give Dignity, a Christian organization that provides academic and spiritual support to children and teens from La Carpio.
What started as an exchange of letters and Bible reflections turned into a joyful morning together, filled with songs, crafts, chocolate, and a special play about The Prodigal Son.
Through this experience, our students learned the joy of serving, sharing God’s love, and building meaningful friendships rooted in faith.

Students came dressed in traditional outfits or in the colors of their countries, and shared special foods that represent where they come from.
From Costa Rica to countries like the United States, South Africa, India, Venezuela, Colombia, Italy, Spain, Canada, Guinea Bissau, Mexico, and many more, we’re grateful for the richness and unity that diversity brings to our community. 🌍💫

From our youngest to our oldest, it was a beautiful reminder that every stage of childhood and adolescence is a gift from God to be treasured.

Theory of Knowledge (TOK) is an IB CORE class where students reflect on the nature of knowledge, and on how we know what we claim to know.
During year 1 of the program, students complete the Exhibition, a task in which students show how TOK issues are manifest in the world around us.
It is expected that this written work is exhibited in the form of a presentation for an audience.
This year, our 10th grade IB aspiring students were there to listen and learn about the completion of this task. Interesting conversations were had, well done students!
